Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor has strongly condemned Ranveer Allahbadia's recent controversial remarks, emphasising that freedom of speech should not be used as a justification for making socially inappropriate statements.
Speaking out about the controversy on Wednesday, Kapoor made it clear that while everyone has the right to express their views, there are limits to what can be considered acceptable in public discourse. His comments highlight a growing concern about the responsibility that comes with influence, especially for public figures in the entertainment industry.
Boney Kapoor mentioned, "What he did is something which I don’t endorse at all. There have got to be limitations. There has got to be self-censorship also,"
"Within your home, you talk whatever you want to talk, but on social platforms, you need to be careful and you need to be disciplined," he continued.
On Wednesday, Boney Kapoor and his son, actor Arjun Kapoor, met Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the state Assembly.
