Shatrughan Sinha shared a heartfelt note after personally visiting the Deol family following Dharmendra’s demise, expressing how he returned from Delhi with “a very heavy sorrowful heart” before meeting Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Tanya Deol, and their sons.
In his emotional message, he reflected on remembering Dharmendra for the remarkable human being he was and for the countless lives he touched, adding that he prayed for the family’s peace and strength during this difficult period.
On X, he wrote, "On my return from Delhi, went with a very heavy sorrowful heart to our dearest family friend our elder brother's @aapkadharam home. It was a heart touching meeting his wonderful sons @iamsunnydeol Bobby Deol @thedeol, his attractive, charming wife Tanya their handsome sons Dharam & especially Aryaman. It was great meeting them all & remembered Dharmji for the remarkable person he was & will live forever for the many lives he touched. Prayed for their peace & strength in these sorrowful times. Shanti."
Following Dharmendra's recuperation and release from the hospital on November 12, Shatrughan Sinha and his wife Poonam Sinha also paid Hema Malini a visit earlier this month to offer support and comfort.
After a prolonged health battle, Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025. Even after returning home, his health remained precarious until his death. He had been receiving treatment at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital.
Shatrughan Sinha and Dharmendra shared a long-standing bond both off-screen and on-screen. They collaborated on several memorable films, including Aag Hi Aag (1987), Zalzala (1988), Shehzaade (1989), and Teesri Aankh (1982). They also appeared together in Jheel Ke Us Paar (1973), Dost, and Blackmail, among others.
