The festive spirit of Durga Puja in Mumbai is never complete without the presence of Bollywood’s most familiar faces. This year too, veteran actress and Member of Parliament Jaya Bachchan made headlines not only for her graceful appearance in a red silk saree but also for her interaction with the paparazzi stationed at the pandal.

As she entered the venue alongside actress Kajol, Jaya ji appeared visibly uncomfortable with the loud shouts of photographers trying to capture the perfect shot. True to her straightforward nature, she gestured firmly at the crowd, signaling them to keep their voices down. Her no-nonsense request immediately caught attention, reminding everyone once again of her long-known distaste for chaos and excessive paparazzi behavior.

Kajol, however, brought a lighter touch to the moment. Draped elegantly in a mauve saree and flashing her signature charm, the actress was seen standing close to Jaya Bachchan, playfully coaxing her into striking solo poses. Videos from the pandal show Kajol animatedly convincing Jaya ji to smile for the cameras, even as the veteran initially seemed reluctant. At one point, Kajol leaned in and whispered something in her ear, which managed to soften Jaya ji’s expression, drawing a rare smile from her.
