Govinda reveals he was ‘never a dancer’ on 'Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle', shares untold story behind his signature 'Govinda Style''

Govinda got scared and requested legendary Saroj Khan to help him learn the moves but she reportedly declined, saying that he didn’t need to learn them because his current style was already good enough.

Ultimately, it was Kamal Master, a well-respected choreographer, who stepped in and guided Govinda to build a distinct style of his own, which later came to be called 'Govinda style.'

Govinda revealed the secret behind his dancing moves and said that he was never a dancer at all. He mentioned that during the shooting of his initial films, someone showed him the song “Bol Baby Bol” from Meri Jung, featuring Jaaved Jaaferi.

He was shocked by the Michael Jackson-style moves, and Pahlaj Nihalani created further tension by telling him that if he was not able to exceed this, his career would almost be over.

He told Kajol and Twinkle, leaving both of them in shock with his statement that he was never a dancer.

"I was not a dancer at all. No no. I was threatened and everything was going fine but they showed me the dance of Jaaved Jaaferi from Meri Jung. I was awestruck and they said these are Michael Jackson moves. I asked woh he was. Pahlaj (Nihlani) ji said 'Did you see his moves? If you cant beat his moves then your career will end before it begins. I told him sir I will definitely try this. Then I had to pursue Saroj Khan ji. I asked her to guide me. She just wasn't ready and said that 'I didn't need to do all that.' She said I was good at what I was already doing. I agreed saying that copying someone else's style was not a good thing. It was then Kamal master who gave my own style. He showed me how to communicate through my moves. I asked him how was is possible, he would extract some excerpts from the lyrics of the songs and we would dance on those. So, it started with Kamal master ji. I learnt dancing from Saroj ji but Kamal master ji gave me my style what became 'Govinda Style', he said during the show.

Chunky then showed another signature move of Govinda, to which the actor said that particular move was given to him by another master choreographer Ganesh Acharya.

During the conversation, Chunky reveals that there was a film of Govinda which was being touted as a potential blockbuster...Chunky purchased tickets in black and later sold them at half the price....taaki picture ki report kharab ho jaaye...at gaiety galaxy.
