On the 8-Hour Shift Debate - Rani Mukerji recently addressed the discussion around Deepika Padukone’s alleged demand for an 8-hour work shift. Speaking to ANI, she explained that actors have the right to negotiate their schedules. “I have also done it where I have worked certain hours. And if the producer is okay with it, then you go ahead with the film. And if the producer is not okay with it, you don’t do the film. It’s a choice. Nobody is forcing anything on anybody.”
Balancing Work and Motherhood - During the shoot of Hichki, Rani revealed how she adjusted her timings to balance her daughter Adira’s needs. “My first shot used to be at 8 in the morning, and I wrapped up by 12.30-1 pm … My unit and director were very well-planned, and we finished everything in 6-7 hours.”
