Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has spent Diwali with his family in London this year. Despite being away from India, the actor celebrated the festivities in a traditional way.
Akshay and Twinkle Khanna, along with their kids, visited Shri Swaminarayan Mandir on Diwali.
A video of Akshay and Twinkle ringing on Diwali at the temple with their kids, Aarav and Nitara, has recently been shared on the official BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Instagram account.
The temple shared a video of Twinkle wearing a pink suit and Akshay wearing a cream kurta. The management is seen escorting the couple through the temple while their kids follow.
Akshay even appears to be explaining something to their son Aarav at one point. Before Akshay and Aarav posed for photos with the local priests, the family was also seen honouring the idols.
The temple management shared the video on Instagram with the caption that reads, “It was a pleasure to welcome renowned actor and philanthropist @akshaykumar with his wife @twinklerkhanna and children this afternoon to celebrate Diwali at @NeasdenTemple.”
The caption continued, “The family joined thousands of others from the wider community visiting the Mandir during these festive days to experience inner peace, heartfelt devotion, and personal reflection.”
However, Twinkle previously took to her Instagram and shared photos of their Diwali with fans prior to their temple visit. In the photos, she is seen eating an orange and giving one to Akshay.
Twinkle captioned her post, “Diwali in London. All dressed up with no mithai in sight. So behaving like oranges are the new laddoos and sharing some Vitamin C loaded sweetness. Temple visit next with real mithai. Happy Diwali to everyone and may your world be filled with light, love and laughter.”
On the work front, Akshay, who was last seen in Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5, Jolly LLB 3 in Hindi and Kannappa in Telugu this year, has an exciting line-up ahead.

The actor is gearing up to star in the highly anticipated Bhool Bhulaiya 3. He will also star in Bhoot Bangla and Haiwaan by Priyadarshan, as well as Welcome to the Jungle.
