Akshay Kumar’s upcoming horror comedy Bhooth Bangla continues to build strong pre-release buzz, and now all eyes are on its trailer launch. If the latest reports are anything to go by, the much-awaited trailer could finally drop on April 6, giving fans a deeper glimpse into the film’s spooky yet comic world.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the trailer has seen multiple postponements before landing on this tentative date. Initially slated for March 27, it was pushed to March 30, and now the makers are reportedly considering April 6 as the final release date. A source quoted by the portal revealed, “The makers now plan to release the trailer on April 6. It remains to be seen if a trailer launch event will happen, though the makers are keen to do so.”
The teaser of Bhooth Bangla had already set the tone by introducing the film’s quirky characters and eerie setting. However, the trailer is expected to take things a notch higher by offering a clearer look at the storyline, humour, and the signature chaos that defines Priyadarshan-style comedies. As the source added, “The teaser introduced the world of the film and the characters. The trailer will give a little more idea about the plot and, of course, the humour quotient and madness as well.”
Apart from the trailer update, there’s also fresh development regarding the film’s release strategy. Trade insiders suggest that the promotional plans have been reworked following a possible shift in the release date. While Bhooth Bangla was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on April 10, discussions are reportedly underway to push it to April 17. The makers are also exploring the option of paid previews on April 16 evening, which could help build early word-of-mouth.
Meanwhile, the film has secured a UA 16 certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, indicating a mix of spooky elements and family-friendly humour.
One of the biggest highlights of Bhooth Bangla is the reunion of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan after more than 15 years. The duo has previously delivered iconic comedy films that still enjoy a cult following. With a strong ensemble cast including Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani, expectations are naturally high.
While there’s no official confirmation yet on the trailer date or release shift, the ongoing chatter only adds to the excitement surrounding this horror-comedy entertainer.
