Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has sold two adjoining residential properties located in Borivali East, Mumbai, for a combined value of Rs 7.10 crore. The transactions, registered in June 2025, were confirmed through documents available on the website of the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), as reviewed by property portal Square Yards.
The two units are part of the upscale Sky City residential project by Oberoi Realty, which spans across 25 acres. Known for its premium offerings, the project features a mix of 3BHK, 3BHK+Studio, and Duplex apartments, and is already ready for occupancy. Located in Borivali East, Sky City enjoys the advantage of being close to Sanjay Gandhi National Park and boasts excellent connectivity via the Western Express Highway, Mumbai suburban railway network, and the Metro Line 7.
Details of the Transactions
Transaction 1:
The first property sold by Akshay Kumar is a spacious apartment with a carpet area of 1,101 sq. ft. (~102 sq. m.). The unit, which includes two car parking slots, fetched Rs 5.75 crore. The sale attracted a stamp duty of Rs 34.50 lakh and registration charges of ₹30,000. Kumar had originally purchased the property in 2017 for Rs 3.02 crore. Over the years, the value has appreciated by approximately 90%.
Transaction 2:
The second, smaller property measures 252 sq. ft. in carpet area and was sold for Rs 1.35 crore. This transaction incurred a stamp duty of Rs 6.75 lakh and registration fees of Rs 30,000. Akshay Kumar had bought this property in 2017 for Rs 67.90 lakh, reflecting a near 99% appreciation.
According to Square Yards Data Intelligence, Oberoi Sky City has witnessed strong real estate activity, with 100 sale registrations totaling Rs 428 crore between August 2024 and July 2025. The average resale price in the project is pegged at Rs 47,800 per sq. ft.
Interestingly, Bollywood icons Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were also reported to have invested in multiple properties in the same project in May 2024.

He won the National Film Award for Best Actor in 2017 for his role in Rustom and has been nominated multiple times at the Filmfare Awards.
