As the campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls enters the 'business end', Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath posed an important civic question for the ruling AAP dispensation and reiterated that the Delhi government should learn important facets of governance from the UP government.
Addressing a rally in Delhi's Kirari, the UP CM said can Arvind Kejriwal along with AAP ministers take a dip in Yamuna similar to the one Yogi with his cabinet ministers took at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj.
Highlighting the significance of the ritual, the Chief Minister described the Sangam bath as a profound symbol of Indian culture and Sanatan Dharma, embodying spiritual peace, religious devotion, and social welfare.
Drawing a comparison between Lucknow and Delhi, Yogi Adityanath said the ruling AAP dispensation has not taken care of basic civic facilities-- roads, sewerage lines, and providing water to its residents. "AAP has turned Delhi into garbage dump, settled illegal Bangladeshis, Rohingyas in Okhla as part of conspiracy," remarked Yogi.
Additionally, the UP CM said the AAP dispensation is playing with fire as it can have devastating impact on the country's internal security.
Highlighting the deteriorating state of Delhi's infrastructure, he added, "This is the national capital. Apart from the NDMC area, look at the condition of roads, water supply, and electricity in Delhi. A decade ago, people used to come here for better infrastructure, metro services, and cleanliness. But now, what has this government turned it into? The roads are filled with potholes, and in some places, it’s hard to tell if there’s a road under the potholes. Garbage piles and filth are everywhere."
