Delhi Assembly Polls: Counting of votes today | Heavy security deployed | Preparations in full swing

Preparations are in full swing for the vote counting of the Delhi Assembly elections, set to take place on Saturday. A robust security plan has been implemented, including a three-tier security arrangement with 10,000 police personnel and two paramilitary companies at each of the 19 counting centers. The election, held on February 5, saw 70 Assembly seats contested by 699 candidates across 13,766 polling stations. Authorities have heightened security to ensure a smooth counting process, with personnel stationed outside key centers such as Maharani Bagh and Hari Nagar. Exit polls indicate a potential victory for the BJP, with AAP predicted to fall behind and Congress continuing to struggle. Vote counting will begin at 8 AM, and early trends are expected to emerge in the first few hours. The voter turnout for the election was reported at 60.54%, and the outcome will determine whether AAP retains power or BJP makes a comeback after 27 years.
