Several regions in Bihar experienced a sharp dip in temperatures on Thursday, with Dehri and Banka recording the state’s lowest at 4.4 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD predicts that minimum temperatures across Bihar, including the state capital Patna, will hover between 6 and 11 degrees Celsius over the next three to four days.

As per the IMD bulletin, Dehri and Banka were the coldest spots in Bihar, followed by Aurangabad at 6.7 degrees Celsius, Buxar at 7.1 degrees Celsius, Bhagalpur at 7.6 degrees Celsius, and both Gaya and Arwal at 7.8 degrees Celsius. Vaishali recorded 8.4 degrees Celsius, Saharsa 8.5 degrees Celsius, and Sitamarhi 8.6 degrees Celsius. Patna registered a minimum temperature of 10.6 degrees Celsius.

The cold wave also brought low visibility due to dense fog across various parts of the state, further impacting daily activities.
