The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate 2025 is scheduled for 4 May 2025. Along with preparing academically, candidates must carefully follow the dress code and guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA). These rules are in place to ensure transparency, prevent unfair means, and allow smooth security checks.
Not following the instructions may lead to denial of entry into the examination centre or disqualification from the exam.
NEET 2025 Exam Day Schedule
To avoid confusion and last-minute problems, candidates should reach the exam centre well in advance. Entry will not be allowed after 1:30 PM.
NEET 2025 Dress Code for Male Candidates
Male candidates must wear simple and plain clothes that do not delay frisking or cause suspicion. The aim is to follow a neutral and accessible dress style.
What is allowed:
- Light-coloured half-sleeve shirt or t-shirt (no big buttons or embroidery)
- Trousers or simple pants
- Open slippers or sandals with thin soles
- Full-sleeve shirts
- Clothes with heavy designs, large buttons, or pockets
- Shoes, boots, or sneakers
- Accessories like watches, chains, bracelets, sunglasses
Female candidates must dress in modest, light-coloured, and plain clothes without accessories. This is to ensure no delay during frisking.
What is allowed:
- Half-sleeve kurtis or tops without embroidery
- Salwar or pants
- Slippers or flat sandals (no heels)
- Full-sleeve tops or clothing with lace, embroidery, or designs
- Hairpins, clips, or other decorative hair items
- Any kind of jewellery (including earrings, rings, bangles, nose pins, anklets)
- High heels, closed shoes, or any footwear that covers the foot
Note: Candidates who wear religious or customary attire (like hijab or turban) must inform NTA during the application process and report early for frisking.
Items Allowed Inside the Exam Hall
- NEET 2025 admit card with filled self-declaration form
- A valid photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, passport, voter ID, etc.)
- Transparent water bottle
- A passport-size photo (same as the one on the application)
- Transparent ballpoint pen (blue or black)
- Face mask and a small bottle of hand sanitiser
- Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or Bluetooth devices
- Any stationery items other than the allowed pen
- Wallets, purses, sunglasses, or handbags
- Food items or drinks (except for those with a medical condition)
- Printed or handwritten notes or papers
Candidates are advised to go through the NTA’s official NEET 2025 guidelines carefully. Wearing the right attire and bringing only the allowed items will help avoid any problems on exam day.
