Maharashtra RTE Admission 2025 begins @ student.maharashtra.gov.in, apply here

The Maharashtra School Education Department has officially opened the application window for Right to Education (RTE) admissions for the upcoming academic year, 2025-26. As per the RTE Act, 25% of seats in private schools across the state are reserved for children from economically weaker sections (EWS) and disadvantaged groups.

Parents seeking to avail of these reserved seats can now submit their applications online through the official Maharashtra student portal at student.maharashtra.gov.in. The application window will remain open from January 14th to January 27th, 2025.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Children from families with an annual household income below Rs. 1 lakh are considered eligible under the EWS category.


• Applicants can choose up to 10 preferred schools during the application process.


• Accurate and complete information, including child's date of birth, parents' income details, and relevant documents, is crucial for successful application.


• Students who were previously admitted under the RTE quota in previous years are not eligible to re-apply.
