NTA Issues Notice on Photograph Corrections for JEE Main 2025, Check Details Here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notice regarding discrepancies in photographs uploaded by candidates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2025 Session 1. To address this issue, the NTA has extended the deadline for candidates to upload corrected photographs until today, 17 January 2025, at 11:50 PM.

The official notification mentions that photographs uploaded by several candidates do not meet the required specifications. To avoid rejection of their applications, these candidates have been given the opportunity to re-upload their photographs in the correct format.

Notification Details

According to the NTA, candidates who need to correct their photographs will be informed via messages sent to their registered email IDs and SMS on their registered mobile numbers.

The specifications for uploading the correct photograph are as follows:

• The photograph must be between 10 KB and 300 KB.


• It should be recent, in colour, with 80% of the face visible (without a mask) and ears clearly shown against a white background.


• The file name should be ‘photograph’ and in JPG/JPEG format.


• Spectacles are allowed if worn regularly.


• Polaroid and computer-generated images are not acceptable.


• The photograph does not need to be attested.


• Applications that fail to meet these specifications will be rejected, as stated in the notice.
