The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the JEE Main 2025 session 2 exams in April. The exams are being held in two shifts, the first shift begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 12 noon. The second shift takes place from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Candidates appearing for the JEE Main April 4 exam were required to carry their admit card, a valid ID proof, and a passport-size photograph. Entry to the exam centre closed one hour before the exam started. NTA is conducting the JEE Main 2025 session 2 exams on April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9.
April 4 Shift 1 Paper Review
The first shift of the JEE Main 2025 April 4 exam has concluded. As per early feedback from students, the overall difficulty level of the paper was between easy and moderate. Each subject had its own challenges and students found certain sections more time-consuming than others.
Student Reactions and Difficulty Level
Students shared that the Mathematics section was the most challenging part of the paper. Questions were tricky, lengthy, and required time consuming calculations. Several candidates mentioned that even familiar topics were framed in a confusing manner, making it harder to solve within the given time.
The Physics section was rated as moderate. It included both conceptual and numerical questions, but most students felt it was balanced and manageable.
In Chemistry, the weightage leaned more towards Physical Chemistry, which surprised some candidates. However, despite the focus, the questions were straightforward and easy to answer. Organic and Inorganic questions were also present but in lesser numbers.
Shift 2 Timings and Guidelines
Candidates scheduled for the second shift must reach the exam centre on time. Entry gates will open at 1:30 pm and close strictly at 2:30 pm. Exam instructions will be given from 2:30 pm to 2:50 pm, followed by login at 2:50 pm. The exam will begin at 3:00 pm and end at 6:00 pm.
Candidates are advised to double-check their exam centre location and leave early to avoid any delays.
