Once released, candidates who appeared for the Common Admission Test (CAT) on Sunday, 24 November 2024, will be able to download the IIM CAT 2024 provisional answer key, review their responses, and raise objections if required.
How to Download IIM CAT 2024 Answer Key?
Once the CAT 2024 answer key is released, candidates can follow these steps to download it and raise objections if necessary:
- Visit the official website: iimcat.ac.in.
- Log in using your CAT user ID and password.
- Click on the link for the CAT 2024 Answer Key.
- Download the PDF and compare it with your responses.
- To raise objections, click on the objection form link, follow the instructions, and pay the prescribed fee.
This year’s CAT exam was conducted across 389 test centres in 170 cities nationwide, witnessing an impressive attendance rate of 89%. Out of the 3.29 lakh registered candidates, approximately 2.93 lakh appeared for the exam. The gender breakdown includes:
- Male Candidates: 1.86 lakh
- Female Candidates: 1.07 lakh
- Transgender Candidates: 5
The exam duration was 120 minutes for general candidates and 160 minutes for PwD candidates. Each section was timed separately, with general candidates allocated 40 minutes per section, and PwD candidates allotted 53 minutes and 20 seconds per section.
The section-wise breakup of questions was as follows:
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC): 24 questions
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR): 22 questions
- Quantitative Ability (QA): 22 questions
- Total: 68 questions
The CAT 2024 results are tentatively scheduled for release in the second week of January 2025. Candidates will be able to download their scorecards from the official website once the results are announced.
