BPSC Exam Protest: Police Lathicharge on Protesters, Decision on Re-Exam Likely Today

The seven-hour-long student parliament at Gandhi Maidan on Sunday saw a unanimous demand for the cancellation of the 70th BPSC Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination. Candidates declared that nothing short of a re-examination would be acceptable to them.

While some initially pressed for a march to the Chief Minister's residence, Prashant Kishore, a prominent figure in the protest, informed them that the Chief Minister was out of town. The march was subsequently postponed.

Later in the evening, police resorted to lathicharge against students who broke barricades and attempted to move forward at JP Golambar. A delegation has been summoned for a 4 PM meeting with the administration.
