'No enemy drones at present': Army calms panic after hours of border activity in Samba, Jalandhar

In the backdrop of the situation, several areas in Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Jammu witnessed blackouts.

The Army citylate Monday said the situation along the international border was “calm and under control” with no enemy drones reported at present.

This came after hours of suspected drone activity were observed along the border areas in Jammu’s Samba district and Punjab’s Jalandhar district. Security forces had earlier engaged the suspected drones near Samba, triggering concern before the all-clear was issued.

"No enemy drones are being reported at present," the Army confirmed.

The drone activity along the border came hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first addresindias to the nation following Operation Sindoor and the meeting of the directors general of military operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan.
