A 27-year-old woman was gang-raped and robbed by a group of men masquerading as police officers in a brutal attack near Nelamangala on Tuesday night. Bengaluru Rural police have confirmed the arrest of three suspects following the incident, which has sent shockwaves through the community.

The assailants targeted the survivor's rented home, barging in at approximately 9:30 pm on 21 October.

According to a report in TOI, the five men entered the residence claiming to be local police. They immediately accused the women inside of possessing ganja and being involved in flesh trade.

The intruders demanded Rs 1 lakh. They then allegedly attacked the survivor and another woman from her hometown with a cricket bat and a machete.
