BMW to hike car prices in India by up to 3% from September, citing forex and supply chain pressures

The second price hike in less than a year comes as luxury carmakers face higher input costs and currency volatility.

German luxury carmaker BMW will increase prices of its entire range of vehicles in India by up to 3 percent from September 1, 2025, blaming the move on continued foreign exchange fluctuations and global supply chain pressures.

The company’s portfolio in India spans luxury sedans, SUVs and electric vehicles, starting from the 2 Series Gran Coupé at Rs 46.9 lakh to the flagship BMW XM priced at Rs 2.6 crore.

‘Material and logistics costs on the rise’

“BMW India’s growth and sales momentum in the first half of the year has been remarkable. However, factors like continued forex impact and global supply chain dynamics have been leading to increased material and logistics costs,” BMW Group India President and CEO Vikram Pawah said.
