BMW launches CE 04 Electric Scooter in India at Rs 14.90 lakh: A look at design, performance, and features

BMW Motorrad introduced its latest innovation, the CE 04 electric scooter, to the Indian market at a price of Rs 14.90 lakh. The scooter comes in two distinct color concepts, including the Imperial Blue Metallic Avantgarde

The design of the BMW CE 04 focuses on a slim energy storage unit in the underfloor assembly and a compact drivetrain. This layout allows for innovative features such as a side-folding charging compartment and a floating seat. The scooter's low center of gravity enhances handling, offering both surprising dynamism and timeless riding pleasure.

The BMW CE 04 is equipped with a permanent-magnet liquid-cooled synchronous motor, delivering a maximum power of 42 hp at 4,900 rpm and a peak torque of 45.7 lb-ft at 1,500 rpm. The scooter accelerates from 0 to 30 mph in just 2.6 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 75 mph. It offers an approximate range of 80 miles on a full charge. Charging is efficient with the optional quick charger, which can charge the battery from 0% to 80% in just 65 minutes at 30A/230V/6.9 kW. Standard charging takes approximately 4 hours and 20 minutes for a full charge at 10A/230V/2.3 kW.

The BMW CE 04 integrates seamlessly into the digital world with BMW Motorrad Connectivity and the BMW Motorrad Connected app. The 10.25” TFT display with a split-screen option serves as an interface for performance data, range, charging time, navigation, and multimedia. The scooter also features a ventilated storage compartment with a USB C connection for smartphone charging.

Standard safety features include ABS and ASC, with optional DTC and ABS Pro. The scooter also offers various seat options with integrated backrest pads and seat heating for added comfort. The Keyless Ride feature allows for seamless integration into the rider's mobile life.

BMW Motorrad offers a 3-year or 36,000-mile warranty on all new motorcycles, with the first service interval at 24 months or 6,214 miles. The CE 04 also comes with a wide range of optional equipment and genuine BMW Motorrad accessories, including luggage carriers, top cases, side bags, and decorative sticker sets.
