Inside Epstein’s 2003 birthday album: Did Trump send letter framed like a 'naked woman'? 

It ends with the line, “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret,” and is signed with a squiggly “Donald” just below the illustration’s waistline - fueling public scrutiny over its authenticity and broader implications.

The leather-bound birthday album, assembled before Epstein’s initial arrest in 2006, includes messages from several of his acquaintances. People familiar with the matter told the Journal that Justice Department officials examined some of these pages during earlier investigations into Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

It remains unclear whether the Trump administration’s recent review has included any of these documents. The letter, reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, is similar in tone to others in the album - described as bawdy and adorned with a graphic sketch.

“A pair of small arcs denotes the woman’s breasts, and the future president’s signature is a squiggly ‘Donald’ below her waist, mimicking pubic hair,” the Journal wrote.

Sources familiar with internal Justice Department records and documents reviewed by the Journal say that pages from this private album are now being reexamined by federal investigators.

Notable names linked to Epstein

The album includes also has variety of personal messages, illustrations, poems, and tributes from a wide circle of Jeffrey Epstein’s associates which ranges ranging from businessmen and lawyers to academics, former girlfriends, and childhood friends.

The prominent names include retail magnate Leslie Wexner and attorney Alan Dershowitz, both of whom have previously acknowledged past associations with Epstein.

One note from Wexner featured a sketch of breasts accompanied by the line, “I wanted to get you what you want… so here it is….” Wexner ended his relationship with Epstein in 2007 and has declined to comment on the matter.

Dershowitz’s contribution was equally unusual: a spoof magazine cover titled Vanity Unfair with the caption, “Who was Jack the Ripper? Was it Jeffrey Epstein?” He later stated that he could not recall the specifics but admitted it was possible he submitted something playful.

The compilation was put together by Herbert Weitz, a New York-based bookbinder who listed Epstein as a client in 2003. Weitz passed away in 2020.

While the FBI and Justice Department have not officially confirmed whether the album was part of their most recent case reviews, several sources within the DOJ say the letter bearing Trump’s name was among the materials examined internally.
