Goa has reaffirmed its position as one of India’s most beloved travel destinations, attracting a record-breaking 54.55 lakh tourists between January and June 2025. This marks an 8% surge compared to the same period in 2024, when the state hosted approximately 50.31 lakh visitors. Of the total footfall in 2025 so far, 51.84 lakh were domestic tourists, while 2.71 lakh were international travellers, according to the Department of Tourism.

This landmark figure reflects Goa’s growing appeal across all segments—solo adventurers, families, Free Independent Travellers (FITs), and group tours—marking a significant leap in the state’s tourism trajectory.
