Xiaomi launches Sound Outdoor Speaker and Redmi Buds 6 in India: Price, features, and availability

Xiaomi has expanded its audio portfolio in India with the launch of the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor Speaker and Redmi Buds 6. These new devices aim to deliver good sound output, extended battery life, and smart features while integrating into Xiaomi’s Smartphone x AIoT ecosystem.

The Xiaomi Sound Outdoor Speaker features a 30W driver with dual subwoofer technology, offering robust audio performance. Weighing just 597g, the speaker is designed for portability and durability, with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Its 2600mAh battery provides up to 12 hours of playback, making it suitable for outdoor use. The device supports fast charging, requiring only 2.5 hours for a full charge. For larger gatherings, Bluetooth 5.4 allows pairing with up to 100 speakers, creating a synchronized surround sound experience.

The Redmi Buds 6 introduces a dual-driver system comprising a 12.4mm dynamic titanium driver and a 5.5mm piezoelectric driver. These features ensure a balanced audio profile with rich bass and crisp highs. The earbuds include 49dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which reduces up to 99.6% of external noise. With dual-device pairing, users can switch seamlessly between devices. Additionally, the quad-mic AI ENC system enhances call clarity, even in noisy environments. The earbuds offer up to 42 hours of total usage with the case and up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge.

The Xiaomi Sound Outdoor Speaker is priced at Rs 3,999, with a special launch price of Rs 3,499 available from December 13 to December 19, 2024. It will be sold on mi.com, Flipkart, and Xiaomi retail stores. The Redmi Buds 6 will retail for Rs 2,999, with a launch offer of Rs 2,799 during the same period. They will be available on mi.com, Amazon.in, and Xiaomi retail outlets.
