Samsung launches Made-in-India WindFree Cassette ACs for smarter, energy-efficient cooling

Samsung has introduced its new range of Made-in-India WindFree Cassette Air Conditioners designed for smarter control, silent cooling, and improved energy efficiency. The lineup comes equipped with built-in Wi-Fi for seamless SmartThings integration, allowing users to control, monitor, and personalize their indoor climate remotely through smartphones and voice assistants such as Alexa, Bixby, or Google Assistant.

The new Cassette ACs feature Samsung’s signature WindFree Cooling technology, which disperses air gently through thousands of micro-holes to eliminate direct cold drafts and maintain consistent comfort. This design is ideal for offices, retail, hospitality, and wellness environments where uniform, quiet air distribution is essential.

Built with sustainability in mind, the models use eco-friendly R32 refrigerant, which has a lower global warming potential compared to conventional refrigerants. They also support an optional PM 1.0 air filtration system that captures ultra-fine particles for cleaner indoor air quality.

Energy efficiency is a key focus, with Samsung’s Good Sleep and Comfort Humidity Control modes helping users save up to 48% and 19% energy respectively while maintaining comfortable indoor conditions. The ACs adapt to the user’s lifestyle and preferences using smart sensors and scheduling through the SmartThings platform.

The new Samsung WindFree Cassette ACs start at Rs 65,000 (excluding GST) and will be available across India via Samsung’s authorized commercial AC channel partners starting October 14, 2025.
