The iQOO 15 is set to launch in China this month as the next flagship from Vivo’s sub-brand, succeeding the iQOO 13. Ahead of its impending launch, a tipster has leaked the key specifications of the handset. Moreover, iQOO has also shared a few camera samples, captured with the periscope and ultrawide lenses on the iQOO 15.
iQOO 15: Expected specifications, camera performance
According to popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming iQOO 15 will feature a 6.85-inch 2K Samsung flat display with a 144Hz refresh rate. iQOO has already confirmed that the phone will be powered by the newly launched Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. However, the leakster also adds that the device will be equipped with a proprietary Q3 chip, which should enhance the overall performance.
Further, the iQOO 15 is tipped to come with a 7,000mAh battery with support for 100W of wired fast charging. The tipster also states that the device will be 'waterproof,' which means that iQOO is likely to continue with the IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance rating for its upcoming flagship, similar to the iQOO 13.
Additionally, iQOO has also shared four camera samples from the upcoming iQOO 15 on Weibo. With these images, the company is showcasing the phone's zoom shot capabilities with the telephoto and ultrawide lenses. The images show a tower at different zoom levels. The phone is set to launch in China sometime in October, but the official reveal date is still unknown.
