Apple Watch Series 10 debuted on Monday, September 9, with the Cupertino-based tech giant unveiling it alongside the latest iPhone 16 series at its ‘Glowtime’ event in California. It promises a range of enhancements over its predecessor, the Series 9, including new hardware and software enhancements.

The Apple Watch Series 10 introduces an innovative design that sets it apart from its predecessor. It's now about 10% thinner and lighter than the Series 9, and has 9,7mm thickness. This slimmer profile makes the Series 10 more comfortable for all-day wear. It also now has more rounded corners in comparison to Series 9.
Apple has increased the case sizes to 42mm and 46mm from 41mm and 45mm in the Series 9. The Series 10 has a new titanium case material, replacing the stainless-steel option from the Series 9. Talking about the colour options, the Watch Series 10 includes striking jet-black polished aluminum and titanium options in natural, gold, and slate colour shades.

Apple has revealed that Series 10 now has 40% higher brightness when viewed from an angle compared to Series 9. It is now available in 1.89-inch and 2.04-inch LTPO OLED screen options alongside a higher refresh rate and 2,000 nits brightness, like the Watch Series 9.
Moreover, the Series 10 has 30% more screen area, in comparison to Series 9, and this extra space allows for an additional line of text in apps like Messages and Mail, or the option to increase font size without sacrificing content.The Apple Watch Series 10 comes with a faster and more compact S10 chip compared to the Apple Watch Series 9, which is powered by the last-generation S9 chip. While Apple hasn't provided specific performance comparisons, the S10 chip is designed for improved efficiency and integration of Apple Intelligence features.
The Series 10 also has a quad-core Neural Engine found in the Series 9, enabling on-device processing for features like the double tap gesture, on-device Siri, and more. However, the Series 10 introduces new capabilities, such as audio playback through the built-in speaker and improved voice isolation for calls, reducing background noise during calls.
Apple Watch Series 10 vs Watch Series 9: Battery
Apple claims that like the Watch Series 9, the Watch Series 10 comes with an 18-hour all-day battery life However, the Series 10 introduces faster charging capabilities, as it can charge from 0% to 80% in about 30 minutes. This is about 15 minutes quicker than the Series 9.
Apple also claims that the Series 10 provides up to eight hours of normal daily with 15 minutes of charging. These improvements make it easier to use the Watch Series 10 throughout the day and promise better endurance than Series 9.
Apple Watch Series 10 vs Watch Series 9: Price
The Apple Watch Series 10 has a starting price of Rs 44,900 and goes up to Rs 56,900. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch Series 9 was also officially launched for Rs 44,900 last year, but often retails at a discounted price, and is currently available for a starting price of Rs 41,000.
