Amazon India’s Prime Day 2025 has officially become the most shopped edition yet, with consumer electronics, home appliances, and smart gadgets seeing massive growth across cities and towns.
AI-powered devices drive interest Laptops with on-device AI processors, tablets featuring generative AI tools, and smartwatches with health-tracking AI were among the fastest-growing categories. Amazon reported a strong demand for premium tech across metros and smaller cities, with AI-led innovation becoming a key differentiator for buyers.
Big jump in appliance sales Sales of refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners grew by over 4X compared to last year. Amazon confirmed that over 1.2 million home appliances were purchased during the two-day sale. Energy-efficient inverter appliances and IoT-enabled smart home products led the pack, especially among urban shoppers.

TVs and display tech hit new milestones Television sales during Prime Day 2025 crossed a record high, led by 4K, QLED, and OLED models. Over 40% of shoppers preferred TVs with built-in Fire TV OS or Google TV, reflecting interest in seamless smart home integration. Amazon reported more than 65% of TV purchases coming from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Premium Smartphones Dominate Sales The high-end smartphone category (INR 30,000+) witnessed a massive 60% growth, with Samsung, Apple, and OnePlus leading the pack. Interestingly, nearly 70% of this growth came from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, highlighting India’s growing appetite for premium tech. Flagship phones with advanced cameras, AI-enhanced performance, and long battery life topped wishlists.
