WWE WrestleMania 41 Results, Highlights Night 1: Night 1 of WrestleMania 41 may have started on a rather quiet note but the main-event left fans shell-shocked at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event featuring CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins saw a late twist after a brutal showdown between the three biggest superstars.
Paul Heyman, a.k.a the 'Wiseman', played a major role in the fresh development as he ditched both Roman Reigns and CM Punk to form a shocking alliance with CM Punk. Heyman had walked out to the match with CM Punk but by the time it ended, the "Wiseman", who has the reputation of doing exactly the same, hit Punk and Reigns with low blows, before passing the steel chair to Seth Rollins, who used it on Roman Reigns to win the match.
Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada "Yeeting" with 'Main Event' Jey Uso, who defeated Gunther to become the new WWE Heavyweight Champion. Uso claimed the title by making Gunther submit. Jimmy, Jey's twin, who was brutally beaten by Gunther couple of weeks earlier leading up to the Mania joined the celebration ringside and handed the belt to his brother.
The second match, which saw the Tag Team title go on line, saw the New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) beat War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) to be crowned the new champions. New Day secured the win with Woods going for the pin and getting assisted by Kofi from outside. This was the 12th time the faction claimed the Tag Team titles to extend their legacy.
Jade Cargill also had her revenge on Naomi. Cargill was sidelined for months after Naomi's ambush, which came as a major surprise for WWE fans when revealed at the Elimination Chamber earlier this year. The match didn't last long as Cargill kept the momentum with herself and went to secure a pinfall victory over her opponent.
LA Knight and Jacob Fatu engaged in a one-on-one battle for the WWE United States Championship, which was won by the latter. The match saw a sequence of moonsault assaults by Fatu on Knight from the top rope, which eventually led him to victory fair and square.
El Grande Americano beat Rey Fenix in one-on-one singles action. The match was originally scheduled between Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano but the former was ruled out of action after an injury, which he sustained during the last episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania 41. Meanwhile, El Grande Americano once again resorted to unfair means as he placed a metal disc inside his mask, handing him the advantage. Despite the outcome the debate continues if El Grande Americano is just Chad Gable with a mask, considering both wrestlers have identical moves.
Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair engaged in a grueling match but it rather ended on a quiet note. Stratton went to close the match with "the prettiest moonsault" and retained the WWE Women's Championship gold against the 14-time world champion.
