Rio Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik is known for her grit and determination. Coming from a background, where girls are discouraged to pursue sports, Sakshi not just broke but shattered the glass ceiling by winning medals in several national and international competitions. She also became the first woman wrestler from the country to win an Olympic medal. Apart from her accolades on the mat, Sakshi was at the forefront of wrestlers' protest against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Singh alleging ill treatment and sexual harrasment of female wrestlers.
The Olympic medallist, who has now retired from the sport, was recently blessed with a girl child, which was on November 11. She announced the news on social media, where she also revealed the name of her daughter -- Yoshiidaa Kadian.

On Wednesday, Sakshi shared a video on Instagram, showcasing her courage. The video is of Sakshi working out in the gym, where she can be seen lifting weights, which ranges from 15-kg barbells to dumbless while performing squats and lunges. Sakshi mentioned that the video is a from a week earlier she delivered the child.
"Week before my baby girl is born. Fit is not destination. It’s a way of life," wrote Sakshi in the caption, which was a hit among her fans.
The video didn't take long to fetch reactions from her well-wishers, which include Olympian Annu Rani, a female javelin thrower, who showed her appreciation on the comment section.
Many others appreciated Sakshi on the comment section. A user wrote: "That's the women power. Very powerful Sakshi." The other comments read: "Hats off to you", "inspiration for a lot of people".
Sakshi recently released her autobiography "Witness", where she provides a candid account of her life journey, which includes her introduction to wrestling, Olympic glory in Rio, and post Olympic experiences.
