Indian cricketer Yash Dayal last Saturday was accused of exploiting a woman from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, under the pretext of marriage. In a formal complaint submitted through the Chief Minister's online grievance portal (IGRS), the woman claimed that they were in a relationship for five years, during which she endured emotional, mental, and physical abuse.
In a fresh report by Dainik Bhaskar, she further alleged that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer was involved in relationships with multiple women.
“Ghaziabad police recorded her statement and have sent a notice to Dayal,” read the report.
The report further detailed about their relationship. As per the report, the two got in contact through social media and later met in Prayagraj. The woman said she stayed at Dayal's residence and was close to the family. Dayal's father has reportedly disagreed to the claim.
Both have posted photos from their trip on Instagram. She was present with the Dayal family in IPL 2022 final which the Gujarat Titans won. The couple even travelled to Ooty in June with the cricketer's sister and a friend.
The woman further stated that she and Yash Dayal attended the wedding of an RCB player in February 2025, during which they spoke about getting engaged. She alleged that throughout their 4.5-year relationship, the cricketer was involved with multiple other women.
On April 17, she was approached by another woman who claimed to be in contact with Yash and provided evidence to support her claim. Reportedly, three more women have since come forward with similar allegations.
"On 17 April, a girl who was also talking to Yash contacted her and shared proof of his affairs. She says Yash’s family knew about this but kept giving her hope of marriage," read the report. "Three other girls have contacted her and shared similar experiences. She says Yash used the same app on their phones to order household items. She found out that he stayed in a Lucknow hotel on 7 June and ordered objectionable items."
“Power, money and fame are being used to cover this up. But I have full faith in the law,” she was quoted by Dainik Bhaskar.
“I could have walked away, but how would I know he was cheating? He never showed it. I left it to God, but when his family started speaking badly about me, I decided to take legal steps,” she added.
Ghaziabad Police have confirmed that a notice has been issued to Yash Dayal, requesting him to appear and provide his statement regarding the matter.
