In a stunning upset in Texas, the United States of America, ranked 19th in T20Is, stunned Bangladesh, the ninth-ranked team globally, clinching a thrilling five-wicket victory. The hosts dominated the majority of the match, seizing a 1-0 lead in the three-game series and marking their second triumph against a Full Member nation in T20Is, following their notable win over Ireland in 2021.

Former India Under-19 cricketer, Harmeet Singh, emerged as the hero, guiding the USA to victory with a blistering unbeaten 33 off just 13 balls. His three consecutive sixes turned the tide in favor of the hosts, forging a crucial 62-run partnership with Corey Anderson, who remained unbeaten on 34.
