Mohammed Siraj may have failed to pick a wicket so far in the Manchester Test but that didn't stop him from giving England a hard time. After India took the second new ball on Day 3, which was in the second session, Siraj was reintroduced in the attack. He immediately troubled England skipper Ben Stokes with a length delivery, which came quick and hit the England captain on the box, leaving him in immense pain.
Stokes immediately went down on the pitch, sitting on his knees and the pain was visible in facial expression. Siraj charged towards him, said a few words before leaving the England captain alone.
The spectators seated at the Old Trafford Stadium also felt the impact, which was caught on camera. England Cricket shared the moment on social media and wrote: "Thoughts and prayers for Ben Stokes."

Meanwhile, ex-India wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik, who was on commentary at that moment, couldn't fail to control his laugh. "For the moment I can say that Stokes is in a lot of pain (following which he burst out in laugh)."
Karthik added: "If at all you have any doubt where got hit" - as the jokes continued in the commentary box.
Meanwhile, Stokes continued despite the pain and is leading England's charge alongside Joe Root, who smashed his 38th Test ton and multiple records.
The pair have added over 100-run stand for the fifth wicket after England lost Ollie Pope and Harry Brook in quick succession in the same session. Both Pope and Brook were dismissed by Washington Sundar but the captain and modern day great have stabilised the England innings as the hosts dictate the show on Day 3.
The duo have helped England cross the 450-mark and take a lead of to 100 runs.
