The second Test between India and New Zealand at the MCA Stadium in Pune witnessed a viral moment involving Sarfaraz Khan. The incident took place in the 24th over, which resulted in the dismissal of Will Young for 18(45). It was not the best of delivery by R Ashwin as the ball was drifting down the leg. However, it brushed the gloves of Young before being collected by Rishabh Pant.
The wicketkeeper, in this case Pant, didn't have a clue but Sarfaraz, who was then positioned at short leg, immediately went for a caught-behind appeal. While Pant remained quiet, Sarfaraz was convinced that the ball had brushed Young's gloves before being collected by the wicketkeeper. Such was his conviction that he immediately walked up to Rohit Sharma and pleaded his skipper to take the DRS.
Rohit was not sure about the dismissal, but Sarfaraz soon got the much-needed voice from senior pro Virat Kohli, and Ashwin, which convinced the skipper to take the review. UltraEdge reflected a fine spike when the ball was passing close to the gloves, leaving social media in frenzy.

The reactions by fans were hilarious, with some even lauding Sarfaraz' confidence. Here are a few tweets:
India then wasted a review in the next over bowled by Ravindra Jadeja. The all-rounder went for a LBW appeal against Conway and despite Rohit telling Pant the ball will spin away from the stumps, he took a review. Ball tracker showed a sharp turn and was missing the stumps completely.
Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat. Ashwin injected the first blow and trapped Tom Latham LBW for 15(22). Devon Conway, who scored a brilliant 91 in the previous Test, is leading the fight for tourists and is joined by Rachin Ravindra, the Player of the Match from Bengaluru Test, at the other end. New Zealand finished the opening session on Day 1 at 92/2. Conway is playing on 47, while Ravindra, relatively new in the middle, is batting at 5.
