Notably, this is the 58th Test match played by Sharma in his career. The relatively lower number of Test matches count is due to the fact that Sharma was not a mainstay in the white-ball format during the initial part of his career.

Sharma has so far batted in 100 innings out of his 58 Test matches, and currently has 4,003 runs to his name. This includes 16 half-centuries and 11 centuries. His highest score is 212, and the overall average stands at 44.97.
