Round two between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash was packed with intense moments. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf were involved in heated exchanges with Indian openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma, who were taking them apart with aggressive strokeplay.
A newly surfaced video of the incident shows that after being hit for a four, Rauf collided with Gill and Sharma at the end of the over. As tensions flared, Rinku Singh—who had come onto the field with drinks—was seen pulling Gill away from Rauf and the Pakistan players, defusing the situation.

Abhishek Sharma smashed 74 off just 39 balls and shared a 105-run partnership with Shubman Gill to make the content one-sided for India in their chase of 172.
"Today it was very simple, the way they (Pakistan players) were coming at us for no reason, I didn't like it at all and this is the only way (his aggressive batting) I could give medicine to them," said Abhishek in the post-match presentation.
"We have been playing since school days, we enjoy each other's company, we thought we would do it and today was the day. The way he was giving it back, I really enjoyed it. It's (the way he bats) because the team supports me. That's the intent I show and I'm practicing really hard and if it's my day, I'm gonna win it for my team," he added.
