Moments after India’s thrilling victory over New Zealand in the Champions Trophy final in Dubai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the team, describing the win as an "exceptional achievement."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated India on their win against New Zealand, praising the team for putting on a "splendid display" throughout the tournament.

“An exceptional game and an exceptional result! Proud of our cricket team for bringing home the ICC Champions Trophy. They’ve played wonderfully through the tournament. Congratulations to our team for the splendid all around display,” the prime minister posted on X.

Led by Rohit Sharma, India won the Champions Trophy for the third time, defeating New Zealand by four wickets at the Dubai International Stadium. In the past, under Sourav Ganguly's captaincy, India shared the title with Sri Lanka in 2002, and in 2013, they clinched the trophy by beating host nation England in the final under Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s leadership.
