The International Cricket Council's meeting with Board of Control for Cricket in India and the Pakistan Cricket Board for the hosting rights of the Champions Trophy 2025 has been posted to Saturday (November 30) after a request of the board members. The meeting will now take place on Saturday.
The ICC meeting held on Friday failed to reach a consensus on the highly anticipated Champions Trophy schedule and will reconvene on Saturday. This follows Pakistan's continued rejection of the proposed 'hybrid' hosting model.
The meeting was brief, with Pakistan Cricket Board chief Mohsin Naqvi reiterating that the 'hybrid' model was unacceptable. This stance comes in response to India's refusal to play in Pakistan due to a lack of government clearance.

"The Board did meet briefly today. All parties continue to work towards a positive resolution for the Champions Trophy 2025 and it is expected that the Board will reconvene on Saturday and continue to meet over the next few days," a senior administrator of an ICC full member nation, who is also a part of the Board, told PTI.
Naqvi attended the meeting in person as he has been in Dubai since Thursday to push Pakistan's stance. BCCI secretary Jay Shah attended the meeting online. Shah will take charge of ICC on December 1.
Earlier on Friday, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal cited the BCCI in a statement which stated that because of the "security concerns" in Pakistan, the Indian team is unlikely to cross the border to play the tournament in Pakistan.

"The BCCI has issued a statement. They have said that there are security concerns there, and therefore, it is unlikely that the team will be going there," Randhir Jaiswal said in a weekly press briefing on Friday.
