‘Here with you, fully recovered…’: Rishabh Pant opens up on fighting demotivation during rehab in Bengaluru

Pant has been receiving treatment at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru after suffering a foot injury during the fourth Test match against England in July.

India wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has described the challenges he encountered while recovering from an injury he sustained in England and how annoying the procedure is. In a video released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Pant also discussed how demoralizing the rehabilitation phase was and how maintaining concentration helped him succeed.

Pant has been receiving treatment at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru after suffering a foot injury during the fourth Test match against England in July. He is currently captaining India A against South Africa A in Bengaluru after missing the home Test series against the West Indies over this three-month stretch.

"I started my rehab slowly, slowly, went through a little bit of, you know, physio work in the initial 10-15 days, slowly, slowly getting back to doing my strength, a little bit of rehab. And it all started from there as a second phase for me, and right now I'm here with you, fully recovered. Thanks to COE for that," Pant said in the video.

Additionally, he discussed the significance of maintaining an optimistic outlook during the rehabilitation process.
