In T20 cricket, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell tied the record for the fourth-highest hundreds with teammates David Warner, Aaron Finch, Indian great Rohit Sharma, and England's Jos Buttler. When Maxwell's team, the Washington Freedom (WSF), played the Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) in the Major League Cricket (MLC) match in Oakland, he smashed his eighth century in the shortest format.

Maxwell, known as the 'Big Show' due to his exceptional hitting skills, lived up to his moniker during this match, smashing an unbeaten 106 in 49 balls with just two boundaries and 13 sixes, at a strike rate of 216.33. In lieu of Steve Smith, who guided the team to the championship the previous season, Maxwell is captaining the team this year.

Maxwell passed the 10,500-run milestone in T20 cricket thanks to the knock. In T20s, he has also claimed 178 wickets. The Australian has now achieved the triple of 10,500 runs, more than 170 wickets, and five T20 hundreds, becoming him the first player in history to do so.

Buttler, Rohit, Warner, Finch, and Michael Klinger have all amassed eight T20 hundreds. West Indies legend Chris Gayle holds the record for most hundreds in this format, having amassed 22 in 463 games. He is followed by Pakistan's Babar Azam (11), Indian legend Virat Kohli (9) and South Africa's Rilee Rossouw (9).
