Former Australia spinner Brad Hogg finds himself in trouble after a video of him mocking Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan went viral on social media. In the video, Hogg can be seen talking to an individual, who tries to imitate Rizwan speaking to broadcasters in broken English.
The video shared with a watermark "Mohammad Rizwan = Virat Kohli" shows Hogg asking the individual questions on India's star batter Virat Kohli, team strategy. He then tried to poke fun at Rizwan's English, all of which left many fans irked.
Here are a few reactions:
Rizwan-led Pakistan endured a disastrous campaign in the recently-concluded ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the first ICC event the country hosted in almost three decades. Despite the magnitude of the occasion, the Men In Green fell flat and made a first-round exit from the marquee event. The unit failed to grab a single win in the tournament, enduring heavy defeats against New Zealand and arch rivals India.
After the disgraceful show, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) dropped Rizwan, along with Babar Azam for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which is currently underway and Pakistan are trailing 2-0 in the five-match contest.
However, Rizwan remains as the captain of the three-match ODI series, which will be played next, starting from March 29.
