During a recent interview with journalist Shubhankar Mishra, former India batter Suresh Raina was asked about MS Dhoni’s 2011 World Cup-winning six, in the light of some statements by a few players of the squad about the particular six.
When asked about ‘ek chakke ne jitaya ya nahi jitaya (did India win because of one six or not)’, Raina said that everyone knows they won after Dhoni’s six.

Mishar asked, "After winning the World Cup, we, as fans, have heard about a rivalry within the team. A lot of statements came. It continues till today. I have seen people ask you in interviews that ek chakke ne jitaya ya nahi jitaya."
Raina offered his view on the controversial statement: "Chakke ne to jitya hai, sab ko pata hai woh. (We won after that six, everyone knows that)"

From the coaches to the support staff, everyone deserves credit for the World Cup victory, Raina remarked.
"The Indian team won the World Cup, irrespective of what anyone says. All the players know that this World Cup was for Team India, for the ones who prayed for us, and for Sachin paaji, who has played six World Cups but not won even one. It was for our coach, the support staff, Manek Kaka (masseur), trainers, doctors, captain, vice-captain, and for our childhood coaches," Raina said.

India defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets in the final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 2, 2011 to win their second ODI World Cup title after 1983 – with Raina being a key member of the Dhoni-led side.
Gautam Gambhir scored 91 and Dhoni hit an unbeaten 97 as India chased down the 275-run target in 48.2 overs. Dhoni sealed the memorable victory with a stunning six over the long-on fence off Nuwan Kulasekara and was adjudged the Man of the Match.
