Babar Azam’s record-breaking act puts him ahead of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in WTC

Babar became the first Asian batsman to reach the 3000-run milestone in the WTC after he hit 23 runs against South Africa in the opening innings of the first Test match.

Given that his last century was in the Asia Cup against Nepal in 2023, Babar Azam may be having a disappointing run in international cricket. However, the batter has made a unique World Test Championship (WTC) record.

The right-hander's accomplishment is especially noteworthy because he is the first Asian player to accomplish it. Babar will be sincerely grateful to his stars because not even Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were able to accomplish this achievement.

Babar became the first Asian batsman to reach the 3000-run milestone in the WTC after he hit 23 runs against South Africa in the opening innings of the first Test match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The former Pakistan captain has now amassed 3,021 runs in the World Test Championship, which began with the 2019 Ashes series between Australia and England.
