The India vs Pakistan matches at the ongoing Asia Cup has mostly been one-sided but the animosity between the two teams has been at an all time high. India and Pakistan have met twice in the continental showdown, with the Men In Blue clinching dominating seven and six wickets wins in both encounters.
However, apart from cricket everything else in these two clashes have been heavily discussed by experts and fans. It all started with India snubbing the customary handshake in the group stage clash and things have only got uglier since.
In the Super Four match, Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan broke into the 'Gun celebration' and in the second innings their pacer Haris Rauf was seen passing indecent gestures to the crowd, after they taunted him by 'Kohli, Kohli' chants. Rauf made gestures of plane crashing down allegedly indicating to the Pakistani narrative of bringing down Indian fighter jets during the 'Operation Sindoor'.

Days after the encounter a video has gone viral on social media, showing Arshdeep giving a brutal reply to Rauf's gestures. Here is the video:
India's assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate also addressed the gestures by the Pakistan players ahead of India's Super Four meeting with Bangladesh on Tuesday.
"Let me first say, the amount of pressure that's been heaped on the players because of the situation, it's very difficult to control their behaviour. I did see some of the things Haris did and that's not our concern. Like I said earlier, we're really proud of how our guys carried themselves,” he said.
He was all praise for the maturity shown by Shubman Gill, Abhishek and Tilak Varma to close down the game without getting sucked into their antics. "Look, they had a very good start. I don't think they got carried away with it," Ten Doeschate said about the celebrations of Farhan.
"I will say given the situation you can see why guys are behaving and what they're trying to portray but we were very focused on how we wanted to behave. I think we stuck to the cricket really well."
