The Aurora, or Northern Lights, is a natural phenomenon that occurs in the Northern Hemisphere when charged particles from the sun collide with atoms in Earth's atmosphere. The phenomenon is going to happen in about 10 of these US states: Washington, northern Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, northern South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, northern Michigan and northern Vermon.

This news came up by space weather forecasters who have been keeping a careful eye on a big sunspot that has previously generated breathtaking aurora. The solar activity happening that disrupted the Earth's upper atmosphere caused solar storms and these storms will result in the Aurora.

Alaska holds the crown for witnessing the Northern Lights, but the recent surge in solar activity has upped the odds of witnessing this phenomenon in other states of US.

The aurora earlier was seen on May 10, causing the strongest geomagnetic storm for 21 years that got witnessed in Arizona and Florida, located in the south. For the best viewing experience, it's recommended to find a location away from city lights and to check local forecasts for the best times and conditions.
