According to NASA’s Daily Moon Observation, the moon tonight is fully illuminated. It lies opposite the Sun, offering a complete view from Earth. The exact moment of the full moon is measured down to a fraction of a second.
The illumination of the Moon on 10 July is 100%, and its age is 14.18 days from the previous new moon. A full cycle of the Moon, or a synodic month, lasts about 29.53 days. There are eight phases of the Moon that consist of one full cycle, starting at the new moon and finishing at the waning crescent.
The Moon, currently in Capricorn, Shifts to Aquarius soon
As of today, the Moon is in the zodiac sign Capricorn, positioned at 14.53° within the sign. It entered Capricorn at 3:05 p.m. on 9 July and will remain there until 6:08 p.m. on 11 July, when it moves into Aquarius.
