Eta Aquarid Meteor Shower (May 5–6)
Look out for swift streaks of light from Halley’s Comet debris. The Eta Aquarids peak before dawn and favour the Southern Hemisphere’s skies. Use a sky map for better viewing.
Micro Flower Moon (May 12)
This full Moon appears slightly smaller and dimmer than usual. Called the Flower Moon, it celebrates blooming spring flowers and is the second Micromoon in a row this year.
New Moon (May 27)
The night sky turns moonless at 03:02 UTC. The New Moon phase makes stars appear brighter, offering perfect conditions for stargazing or spotting distant constellations.
