On March 29, 2025, a partial solar eclipse will occur, a rare event. "Solar horns" will be seen at sunrise in some locations. This takes place when the crescent of the sun that is being eclipsed produces two bright spots on the horizon. It will be visible only in some locations. You must have clear skies and the right angle.

Location of 'Solar Horns'
Northern Maine, south-west New Brunswick, and east-east Quebec will provide the best sightlines. The spectacle will be seen between Bay of Fundy and St. Lawrence estuary. Coastal sites or elevated points will provide the best observation points. Some suggested locations are as follows:


The best viewing will be towards the coast. Ensure that the eastern horizon is unobstructed for viewers.

How to Watch an Eclipse Safely
Portions of the East Coast of the U.S. will be able to see an eclipsed sunrise. The phenomenon will occur in locations from Cape Cod to Maine. The sun will be partially covered even in the Virginia and New York areas. It will need to have a low look to the northeast.
