The day is especially important for performing Pitru Puja, Pitru Tarpan, and Pind Daan, helping devotees honor their ancestors and seek relief from Pitru Dosha. Many families invite Brahmins, offer sattvik meals, and donate essentials such as clothes and footwear. Feeding cows, dogs, and crows is a traditional practice believed to bring blessings.
