Former President Ram Nath Kovind visited the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Tuesday morning, expressing his satisfaction with the arrangements made for the grand spiritual gathering.

During his visit, Kovind commended Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his administration for their meticulous planning and organisation of the event. "The arrangements done here are really good; all facilities are in place. I visited several camps and I’m very happy. Yogi Adityanath and his team have done an excellent job, and I thank the administration for their efforts," Kovind stated.

In addition to attending the festival, the former president spoke about the proposed 'One Nation, One Election' bill. As chairman of the committee overseeing the proposal, Kovind remarked, "The work is ongoing, and the decision lies with Parliament. If this proposal gets passed, I believe it will boost the country's GDP and strengthen economic conditions. This initiative could be a game-changer, positioning India as the second-largest economy in the world."

Despite the chilly weather and heavy fog that blanketed Prayagraj on Tuesday morning, thousands of devotees gathered at the Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. By Tuesday, over 88.1 million devotees had taken the holy dip at the Sangam, according to data provided by the Uttar Pradesh government.
